Presenting complaint
The patient presented with a history of vomiting, lethargy, and being generally unwell (ADR). The patient was unwilling to walk but able to stand, and was observed to be drooling.
Imaging findings
Radiographic and ultrasonographic imaging of the patient's abdomen revealed the presence of a foreign body within the duodenum. The foreign body caused an obstruction, leading to clinical signs. Further evaluation confirmed its location and nature.

What happened with the patient
Surgery was performed, and a small piece of plastic (maybe a cat toy?) was removed from the duodenum. The patient recovered uneventfully.
Key take-home points
If you see strongly shadowing smooth margins on ultrasound (for example, during a FAST scan), something may be present that doesn't belong there. This is especially true for sharp and angular margins, and round margins.
