Canine (German Shorthaired Pointer) · Ultrasound — Abdomen

The patient presented with suspected prostatomegaly noted incidentally in routine physical exam. A mild inflammatory leukogram was identified.

The left testicle contains three abnormal regions: an ovoid, smoothly marginated nodule (1.6 x 1.0 x 1.2 cm) with a 5 mm lobulation, a heterogeneous hypoechoic region (1.0 x 1.2 cm), and a hypoechoic nodule (1.4 x 0.7 x 0.9 cm) in the cranioventral aspect. Both discrete nodules show increased vascularity on color Doppler. The right testicle has a hypoechoic nodule (1.2 x 1.0 x 1.3 cm) causing a mild dorsal contour bulge and a larger multiloculated, cavitated nodule (2.0 x 1.3 x 1.9 cm) caudally.

Ultrasound-guided fine needle aspirates were performed on both testicles. A cystic nodule in the right testicle was drained. No immediate complications were observed following the procedure.
